# Freeze-Dried Candy Production Room

A single QS-FD-20 running short cycles lets a confectionery brand puff and crisp hard candies, marshmallows and taffy several times a day in a small room.

## Project goal

Turn standard candy into puffed, crunchy freeze-dried candy with short cycles and a small footprint.

## Process flow

1. Candy preparation & portioning
2. Tray loading with expansion space
3. Short freeze-dry cycle in QS-FD-20
4. Cooling & inspection
5. Packing in high-barrier pouches

## Design decisions

- Short, recipe-controlled cycles stored on the PLC.
- Trays loaded lightly so candy can expand.
- Compact layout fits a standard production unit.

## Utilities

380 V or 220 V power (confirmed at quotation), air-cooled condensing, standard ventilation.
